This morning, EALS’ President Justice (Retd.) Dr Fauz Twaib officially opened the Inaugural EALS-McGill Masterclass on International Space Law and Policy in Nairobi, marking a transformative step in East Africa’s journey into space law. As the President highlighted, “We stand at a remarkable crossroads of law, technology, and the boundless potential of space”.
In partnership with the world-renowned McGill Institute of Air and Space Law, this masterclass reflects our region’s growing influence in space technology—from Kenya’s recent satellite launch to Tanzania’s strides in space exploration. Together, we are shaping a legal framework that fosters innovation, collaboration, and sustainability.
